What I done today:

went for the usual saturday morning at the local cafe with an old mate of mine, setting the world to rights

Got home, had a brew

Went out with Mrs.K to get some paint

went looking for a music shop so I could buy a penny whistle ( when I were a lad we were so poor we couldn't afford a penny whistle and the ha'penny whistles were rubbish, could only get half a toon out of them!!)

I don't think the bloke in the local music shop was impressed when I asked if they sold penny whistles, the smug git looked down his nose at me.... the snobby tw@.

So on monday I'm off to the quaint little town of Totnes where :

1They seem to accept anyone regardless of who or what you are.

2 They won't look down their nose at me in the music shop.

It's a great little shop, bare boards and loads of different instruments, penny whistles, harps, bodhrans, all sorts of drums mouth organs (fnar Fnar..) harmonicas  guitars  heet music, tapes, cd's etc.

Been watching the box since we got home, and popping in and out of here.

Just had a look on Evilbay for a penny whistle. How come they're all over £2,50, except for the Guinness one at 99p with 6 days to go? ( that's still not a penny is it)
