also had it sat running outside for a good 20mins with no overheating. still not running correctly, pops an farts when you rev it high.

What carb is on there Chris ? Plus do you have a timing light at all though better with dial back on it for what we need to do.

Have you done away with all the spacers they use with the other make of carb as they often leak causing leanout and popping. What's put you on the hunt for a dizzy rather than poss carb problem ?

i've rebuild the carb, spacer has gone. the dizzy is a mix of bits so not sure on it working correctly.

had some time on minx today, but way too hot!!! working with a teatowel round me head!!!  carb has now got manual choke,all home made. but won't start due to no go go juice!!!  been doing some painting an other bits. no distributor though  |

this arrived this morning!!!!  trouble is i need some petrol but cannot go out until another parcel turns up, anytime upto 9pm!!!! grrrrrrrrrrrr!!!! |

petrol got, dizzy fitted, pop bang bang, oops thats not right!!! bit of plug lead twirling then finaly its running. don't sound to bad, running evenly, seem to timeup ok, will find out tomorrow when i take it for a run.
just need to get carb set up.
