Been lurking in the site for a long time and following this build along with Andy's pop since they started. Think this one looks on track to be a great looking car (I think Andy's will look fantastic when he gets it finished but I do have a soft spot for volksrods!).

Cheers everyone
Space wise inside isn’t too bad at all - have done a few sit on blocks of wood and have a bit of headroom still.

Getting older but no wiser! Just using bigger hammers. The answer to most problems, fire and lots of it.

Yours has doors Only just - 1 side still needs the inner sorting at the bottom etc and a lot more finishing work to them to go. It’s that same thing - sticking the wheels on is a big motivation step forward, but there’s hours of welding, grinding, filling and sanding to go yet

I hate when people compare Lemmy with God, i know he is great but he is not gonna be Lemmy, ever If your Dad hasnt got a beard, you've got two Mums there's no point it lookin' pretty if we can't drive it.

Ah way too much money currently, but I can foresee the off the shelf kits coming down in price in the next few years. Got an engine in the unit which I had grand plans of building into a monster but I’ll probably just stick it in and see how it goes

A Volts Rod? I've been seriously looking at electric motors as a means of keeping my truck on the road -the Government have just quietly announced a major overhaul of British transport policy after this virus is sorted, with the emphasis on walking, cycling & public transport. I can see gas guzzlers being banned or priced off the roads. So electric could be the way to go.

Nothing
The under dash bulges in the middle so needed to have a slot for it to fit.
May or may not have measured a bit enthusiastically, so will fill it in when I split the shell from the pan
