Thanks everyone.

Aye engine will be floating out the back, which should help cooling as I won’t run any tinware on it.

Was feeling kinda showy paint, but we’ll see. It won’t be going satin black with red wheels that’s for sure.

More welding in the roof join today. Potentially by tomorrow that might be all sorted.
NO, TINWORK !!!!!  Just had a bollockin, off a v,dub geezer  for considering ditching the tins on my trike

So thought of just running the fan housing and left and right  cylinder top tins ??

Tinwares there to help direct cool air over the engine - essential if it’s in an enclosed space, but if everything hot is out in the breeze and hot air can escape upwards, it’s not really needed. But yeah I’ll just run the fan and that’s only because the alternators attached to it so is needed, otherwise I’d love to ditch all that as well

Had some bits fall into place and managed to sort the rear tyres I wanted for it. 8.20/15 firestone black walls. Have got some wheels ordered up through work so once they’re here I can sort them out.

Pete at works been doing some gas welding on it every lunch time with me and it’s coming together pretty well, but not much to see really

Yes mate.

Not much to show, just been plodding on with the welding. Pete from works been gas welding it all for me.

Been playing with a wheel - cut the centre out to move it back and gain some clearance. Looks like I’m still gonna need a big ol spacer to run those tyres. Next job is to weld the wheel back up (straight hopefully) and get the tyre mounted to see where it actually sits in relation to the body

Archie, it was only while chatting to Loony a few days ago that I realised you've roof chopped this! I know you mentioned it, but somehow I didn't take it in. How did it go? Any topless photos? Smiley

Don't have facebook mate so can't see that - wants me to login

Got the wheel / tyre mounted up and trial fitted yesterday. It's touching on the body due to the sheer size of the tyre. Have messaged a company about wider adapters which should help clear everything, but I think i'm going to have to cut some more out of the body. Will be nice once it's past the stage of cutting stuff out of it
