Good day today! Floors finished up underneath so now solid. Also lopped off the jacking points and made my own instead which are not so bulky. Pics!  yup, the sun/moon roof's staying. This began as Loony's project -a very radical Volksrod. Then Archie bought it, with a view to following Loony's plan. I think it's maybe been toned down a little since, but the roof chop's still on the cards. Loony says he doesn't know of any others that've been chopped & retained the steel opening panel -which is a good enough reason to do it.

had a good day today as well. Feels like I'm not making progress, but making one off bits and doing a proper job, with only one day a week is the reason for that. Soo went down today for a play. reshimmed one side of the floor as it wasn;t square with the oppositte side. This would mean the body wouldn;t sit square. Also finished off one side of the jacking point as well. Slicing the back for a rejiggle  Archie's Volksrod Cleaning up the box section  Archie's Volksrod made 8 of these!  Archie's Volksrod To do this  Archie's Volksrod And cleaned up!  Archie's Volksrod Looks much better now. Won't be on it next weekend as I'm in portugal with work. It's a hard life sometimes. |
