This one's been in for a while. A Bedford truck. The owner plans to take it to the Dorset Steam Fair in a couple of months, before which Loony has to completely repaint it. Easy.
i shure loony can do that in a saturday afternoon,,  after all i used to do a 12 metre coach in a day  |

Chris, (in the white T shirt), was telling me today how hard it is to find those splitty front grilles. He's had this one carefully stowed away until today. Just because you do something different with a classic, doesn't mean you don't appreciate it's heritage.  The donor car was completely rotten from the sills down, so was destined for the scrap heap. This way it'll live again, though maybe not quite as Isigonis intended! |

If all this classic stuff was that good it would still be in production now. I like to see classic stuff as something a bit different and to appreciate the simplicity. If you want to stick a V12 in an Issetta or anything else then great it will be even more unusual (would like to see someone fit that though ) Different is what is good don't matter if its old or new, as said once you bought it you get to decide |

Chris is still shuffling parts around, but looks like it'll fit quite nicely -makes you wonder why Morris didn't fit 'em with V8s!
The Rover's sump is stepped so that it's shallow at the front & deeper at the back. By lifting the engine a little, the steering rack passes neatly underneath. Fortunately the Moggy's bonnet's tall enough for that, though the carb/air cleaner might need some thinking about. The plan is to build a "sleeper" -a car that looks bog standard & unassuming from the outside, but leaves 'em standing at the traffic lights. An automotive wolf in sheep's clothing.
