A well respected airbrush artist friend of mine has posted this on another forum:

the scum are at it again, my workshop got broken into this weekend and had around £12000-£15000 worth of tools and equipment stolen, the tool box that was taken would have possibly taken 4-6 blokes to lift, the poloce managed to find one footprint to which they say was a size 5, posible 8-10 year old, now who the fu*k alows their 8-10 yearold out at midnight to go on the rob? and im assuming that one of the parent were with this child, this guy needs shooting, im trying to be as polite as possible so as not to write too many obceneitys (is that a word?)

any how, if any of you are local to me, and hear of any snap on tools and box going cheap could you please let me know or a reg number of a van if they have them in their if you know what i mean

the tool box was a limited edition animal superbikes double roll cab and tool chest, approx six foot long and five foot high, with two full length lockers to each side about a foot and a half wide and five foot tall, all with the artwork on, the box was fully loaded with snap on tools, ratchets spanners, screwdrivers you name it it was there,

like i say aprox value is 12-15k and to say im gutted is an understatement

cheers guys,

Any help would be greatly appreciated

my depot once got robbed, lost a lot of gear, lost plot n got hold of 2 local well known smackhead theives, found who it was,  nowt happened to them but i got arrested, charged with kidnap, attemted kidnap, assault with intent, common assault and breaking and entering [smashed shed door open one of em lived in]. spent 9 mth of hell in and outta court before courts n law gave up because smackheads didnt turn up yet again.
gotta be carefull next time temper goes. turned it round by building a better bigger building thats worth a fortune more [and safer]. but the ones that did it still run free.
got to think before you act, hope he finds em.

What area were they stolen from mate?.....I know a fair amount of Club members that I can give a heads up on this gear if its offered for sale to any of them....I know how gutting it is to have all your tools go missing...I lost about 15-20k worth of Snap on when my old recovery yard got broken into....never saw any of it ever again and insurance had no interest as I did not have reciepts for every item and they would only pay out on the items I had them for, even though I had pic's of all my tools as instructed by my insurance rep?.........If possible can you try and get a pic of the Tool Station as I will get it posted around the Club Houses and forward to the Recovery driver network...Voodoo....
