Yup, many thanks to our hosts, Pat & Derek, for another visit to their sprawling homestead of petrolhead heaven.
Although their business is commercial catering, their passion is ...well, just about anything with an engine -& the bigger, louder & crazier the better.
I drove my little commuter car the 40 miles from Guildford in Surrey to Basingstoke in Hampshire this morning, picked up Lunatic, then we drove back again, stopping off in a petrol station near Farnham on the way to meet up with Dave & Keith in Dave's newly acquired all steel, Cadillac engined 1930 model A Ford. First time we'd seen the coupe in the flesh -very cool. Suprisingly quick too with that Caddy motor nestled up front, though it felt kinda like sitting in a phone box when we tried it for size. Primitive, but a lot of fun -much like Dave in fact.

Plenty of interesting machinery to browse once we arrived, with hot coffee & bacon butties to keep out the January cold, courtesy of one of Del & Pat's fleet of catering wagons. Maybe 2 dozen visitors calling in for breakfast during the morning, almost outnumbered by Derek's own array of motors.

As well as the boys of the Surrey Street Rodders, all the usual suspects were there, including forum members Justine & Neil, Calvin, Chevy Rick, Renegade, Digger, 53 Catalina, GoForest, Deadly Derek of course, plus Dave_postie, Lunatic & myself, so not a bad turn out from the Manky ones.

Pat & Derek threw the event to show off their latest Stateside imports, all of which are up for sale, at £6000 a piece. Several more vehicles still waiting to come over from the other side of the pond.

Loony & I both fell in love with this 454ci Pontiac Le Mans street n strip car. This is exactly how I'd build Taz's Dodge Charger if I had my way.

The star of the day was this gee-orgeous 50s Chevy sedan delivery. So curvy, so stylish, so effortlessly cool. Again, yours for 6 grand if you fancy it.
