You got that wussy suspension stuff then? I usually find after 100 miles I need a fuel stop to stretch my legs for a few minutes!

Have to do that every 50 miles, being a "Raspberry Ripple" and not having much of a seat, not able to ride far without having to stop for something or other.
The springs look good but the rides about the same as a hard tail.

I tried a sprung solo on my first couple of trikes, (XS750s -see the Motors, 3 wheels section), but found when I pushed against the bars to corner I just pushed myself sideways on the seat springs. A solidly mounted seat pad made things much better. I've been off the road trikewise for over a year now & off 2 wheels since about February & I'm really starting to miss it now.

Understand your missing the riding was off the road from 79- 86 ish after RTA.
I used a pair of Shocks mounted on the bottom rails to the underside of the seat (1957 Field Marshall Tractor seat) Did not get any side movement at all

When we started out on Flap's trike, (it's the orange one, not featured cos it's not finished yet, but it'll be in the forum somewhere), I really wanted to fit a pressed steel tractor seat, padded with a little foam & upholstered in black vinyl, but couldn't find one anywhere. Went for a large universal solo pad in the end. Looks good though.

Wynne's a member of the 100% Biker magazine forum & gives a 10% discount to fellow members, so worth joining & posting a few times! He's Welsh I'm afraid but a very nice guy despite that. www.100-biker.co.uk
