Thanks people!

Andy, they're pretty hard wearing, they're lacquered with 2K lacquer. As for cost they're £120!

That's actually pretty good, (no idea how much a standard Zippo is). That'd make a great Christmas/Birthday pressie for someone.

Thanks Andy! Two of them have now been sold today.

Just thinking out loud here, and after some straw poll advice. Do you reckon if I approached someone like Jimmy at Valley Gas, and offered my services doing, say, a zippo with their customers car on, and their logo on the back, that they can offer to customers as an extra/keepsake, would it sound like a good idea, or something I'd be on a loser with?

I think it's a great idea -& just what I was thinking of with my own vehicle, even though I don't smoke. Jimmy's a pretty hard nosed businessman, (a nice guy though), so don't know how much profit you'd make from him, but I guess he'd just add it onto the customer's bill.
Go for it!

Thought that myself in the brief time I'd met him, but it seems to me a great idea, and hope he sees it that way! As you said, should be a case of him just adding it to the bill.

Like the idea..... maybe think about other companies that do custom and bespoke work (not just cars/bikes, could be high-end kitchens, swimming pools, hauliers), aim high, the artwork speaks for itself!  Wink

(still have intention of getting a bike tank to you 'one day'........ project on hold for the time being)
