JJ and I arrived at this event late in the afternoon as we had travelled from the Popham Mega Meet event.  Shame so many events have clashed this month.  The weather had been even more unkind to Portsmouth and most vehicles had left by the time we arrived.

Dave from Solent Renegades said the turn out had been pretty good though and that the event had been well supported. I took quite a few pictures of what was left on the very interesting Fort Nelson site and these are shown below.

While we were there the Fort Nelson guns were fired by the infantry men stood on the hill in their white tunics.  The firing was definitely a crowd pleaser.  It made JJ jump though, as she was happily wandering around the museum at that point and thought something had blown up in there.  Shocked

For anyone interested in armouries and their artefacts, there is a very good museum on site which is also currently under improvement.

Dave has also invited us to the Solent Renegade End of Season show which is on the 18th September 2010.  This is a Saturday and will be at The Farmhouse, Portsmouth (PO3 5HH).  I will post this event on the calendar.
