Originally did have it made up for the right, but looking to redo the pipes to sit on the right and didn't want it melting!

You can see the dent pretty nicely here. Also had a grumble, due to my sprocket carrier being machined down too much, so now I need a spacer behind it. ho hum hey!

cover all the bare metal, including the exhausts in jenolite then run a blowtorch over it all. Goes a lovely shade of "aged". Saw it done on a bike before and it looked the dogs dangly bits.

Archie & loony have been getting creative in the workshop today.
I'm not sure of the history of this bike, but it arrived at loony's place with a part built high level exhaust. Nice enough but it fouled on the kickstart & would seriously burn the rider's legs. So they chopped it up & re-worked it, using sections of the original pipe plus some of the new bends.
Somehow they've managed to keep the whole lot within the lines of the front down tubes, which looks very tidy. With the pieces of the exhaust jigsaw tacked together, it can now be taken off the bike, fully welded & smoothed out. Archie plans to wrap the finished mild steel pipe in heat resistant racing bandage. They've still to decide how to finish off the open pipe ends.

Original high level pipes were concieved by myself without reallythinking. Much prefer these ones and should be more user friendly.

Have you got that daft photo of me stood on the bike? Was interested to see it in full size lol
