Shouldn`t be a problem they used copper fuel lines on beetles for years.

Thats a new one on me but then i havent had anything to do with beetles, i can say tho that steel pipe has been used for fuel lines for years.

All pre. and 'just' post war bikes used copper fuel lines and brass fittings,so no probs.  Morrag

I will see what ID the brake pipe I have is. I saw copper fuel pipes on Minisport and just wondered if it was the same grade as brake pipe.

I use 8mm microbore central heating copper pipe for my car, brake pipe will be to small.

I will be running 90% of the brake lines/fuel lines etc in copper on Terri's trike once we get stuck in on it...so nice someone started this thread......Voodoo......

I'm planning something similar for Taz's trike too. Great Monkey minds think alike eh.  Smiley
Hadn't thought of using copper for the fuel lines though. The fuel doesn't react with it in any way then? I was just going to use it for the brake & water pipes.

you could use 10mm copper the same stuff that is used for oil boilers that is not affected by the diesel oil so cant see why unleaded shoule affect it

Ive had copper fuel lines on a few of my customs over the years and never had any problems with it.....make sure you get a decent size or you wont be getting enough fuel...Voodoo...

I've had trouble with copper fuel tube fatigue cracking if you don't strap it down to stop the vibrations.
