Hello Baldy Bloke.
Haven't needed to do that yet but in the process of triking Rainbow's GS850 -so watch this space. Welcome aboard by the way.  Wink
It's become my habit to hassle newbies for contributions as soon as they make themselves known, so- got any piccies for us? What you riding? Fancy jotting down a few words on it so we can feature it in the Motors bit? Got any blurry old shots of blurry blokes we can use?

This site is brought to you by the letters Y, O, D & A, so if you do forget drop him a line & he'll sort it out for you. My memory's horrendous. Have to keep writing myself notes -then I forget where I left the notes. Got so many trike bits spread between so many people I've forgotten who's got what now. Huh

hi, read your post last night and as i still had to tackle this problem on my latest project, this is what i came up with this afternoon. Having done a few of these now, ther is no set way, alot depends on the shft your usibg and the bike set up.
Firstly youll notice the prop i`m using is huge, its off a mk1 escort n was only a quid on ebay so a bargain right?
Waaa cant upload pics cos they exceed the kb limit. if youd like pics please let me know and i`ll email directly to you.A brief description follows.
i cut the prop in half then cut a 3 inch square from 4MM steel plate, the prop is 3" diameter and i find it easier to find the centre of a square than a circle.
I also cut the bike `prop` down to just 1 1/2" long which was then welded into a shorter tube. This in turn was welded to the CENTRE of the 4mm square plate.
After it had cooled down it the spline was fitted back to the bike and the prop bolted in place. a lot of time is then spent measuring, checking and checking again before the prop is unbolted and cut to length.
Altough not cruical its important to get the length as accurate as possible.
the square plate is then tack welded to the prop and then checked again to fit. If all is well then it can be welded up, the square corners rounded off and hey presto one trike prop for a quid a bit of plate, tube, welding wire and about 4 hours work.

Evening you two.
I've just got home from the garage. Been grinding & filing all day so utterly pooped now. Going to treat myself to an early night for once, so try not to wreck the place while I'm gone! Welcome T Bone by the way & thanks for the info. Much appreciated.
I use Adobe Photoshop by the way, to resize my piccies to 400 x 400.

I have the power to remove stuff -not as mighty as the omni present Yodie though. I'm just the sorcerer's apprentice. Speedmaster posted a link to a photo reduction download only the other day. he's posted it twice -& I've managed to mislay it twice!
