Received the following email from Rick Swaine:
"Thunderbird" was the original incarnation of Steve's "Black Pig" race car by the way. Rick, if you're reading this, I happen to know it's up for sale at the end of the season!
Over to you Steve.

dear lads, i've always been interested in recreating the THUNDERBIRD altered ,it was always my favourite car ,i even had a picture taken, stood by the side of it in '79  at the pod .i've been after info on the car for ages . i think the bodyshell [topolino] is long gone, but do you have the dimensions of the chassis , i.e  wheelbase, track, rollcage height ? that sort of thing , here's hoping you've all that for me, so one day i might get around to building  the car to how it was in ' 79 . then all i have to do is remake the bodyshell  !!!

Yup, just been to check the members' list to find that out! Welcome Sir. Nice to see a new face. The Viva's very pretty. So Flap's not the only one who thinks the future's orange then. My first car was a Viva. Metallic green it was. Sigh. So-o-o many years ago. Sad

Yes very soggy.  I went to check out my new works van this morning, you can see the rain on the windscreen.

Re the BMF, we will definately be there, just dont know which day yet.  What day are you going, if you are?

Are they special cake carrying shelves? Maybe you should explain what you do for a living!
I imagine we'll be at the BMF on the Sunday cos Rainbow, Flap, Simon & I all have to work on Saturday mornings. I haven't got a bike on the road at the moment so we might have to go up by car.
Hmm, CabbageLand in the rain -probably still prettier than downtown Basingstoke.

Don't think Basingstoke could ever be described as sweet! That van's bigger than my flat! And better equipped.
