Photos from The LoneStar Roundup. A huge American rod show. Beautiful machines, every one.

Ha! Another convert!
I've got half a Sherpa van clogging up my lock-up at the moment. I bought it last year to salvage the front beam axle, rear axle & steering for my Jag-rod. Haven't been able to figure out a way of hoisting it off the ground, removing the axles then moving the 1 1/2 ton wheel-less carcass, but met up with "Bad Toad" from the 100% Biker forum last weekend -who just happens to drive a recovery truck with a crane for a scrapyard down in Poole. With luck he'll be up in the next week or two & we can cut off the bits I need & scrap the rest. Then I'll be able to actually make a start on my very own rat rod
You should come along to the Nostalgia Nationals at Avon Park in a couple of weeks time. You'd love it.

Some awesome pics amongst that lot, I have a huge passion for fully fendered 34's, although my childhood dream was to have a "Sit-up & Beg" Ford Pop, I'd even planned how I wanted it, ie, narrowed S-type IRS, HA Viva IFS, small block Chevy V8 etc etc etc, I wish I still had the drawings I did way back then...

They were trying to gather 34 '34s together at the recent 34th NSRA Billing funrun. Think they managed about 25 in the end, which is still pretty good going. You going to the Nostalgia Nationals at Avon Park this weekend? I'll be there & so will my brother Steve, ("Brock"), racing his small block Chevy.

Yeah, I know all about that. Got no transport so got to rent a car for the weekend to do the Nats & the NCC Diamond Day show at the Ace Cafe. By the time I've paid for that & petrol & entry to the races I'll be skint for the rest of the week.
