Here's one for the diary....

Brighton Speed Trials 2011, and a rather good video to hopefuly tempt you to come along (which I can't take any credit for).

If you look closely you'll see a couple of 'mankies' on trick vintage sprint bikes.

1 min 03 secs is Andy on #331 followed by yours truly on #333, and towards the end (3 mins 21) is Andy showing a rather un-characteristic start !!!  Grin Grin Grin (bless!)

The Hyabusas (Suzukis) are along the top runners, this one's a bit different to the turbos, as its supercharged instead.

Turbo busa


The top bikes only got to about 140 mph this year under 'timed' conditions due to the wet track (normally around 165mph)

However there was a 162mph pass during qualifying, when the track was dry, and a couple of sub 10 second passes.
