i was told about this event tonight at the club meet. tony thought i might be interested as they might have a dragster or 2 there doing their thing.
Sevenoaks and District Motor Club is pleased to announce the Ancaster Group as title sponsor of Motorsport at the Palace, a two-day motorsport festival at Crystal Palace, running 30-31 May. Ancaster’s dealers have been selling cars in the South London/Kent area for over 50 years and like most locals, they are proud and excited to see racing return to the Park.

Hello All,

The sevenoaks motor club ran their 1st Crystal Palace Sprint back in 1997 (think it was 25 year anniversary of something but forget what), it was pretty good too as it featured motorcycles as well as the four wheelers, where as subsequent meeting have been car-only. Think they ran from '97 - 2000, and this years is the first since then.
I was lucky enough to have had a bike entry so got to blast round a very limited amount of the old track on 650 TriBSA hillclimb bike, and then watch the cars do their thing.
The entry had a variety of machines from some wonderful 'historic' cars to the rather mundane, but a friendly event.
Could make a nice day out.

Cheers

spent the evening and most of today going through the action shots and finally got things that look ok or bloody great. my favourites of the day were the mg magentte za (powered by a mercedes wtc engine) no wonder it was quick and the vette.
