Maybe, one day, right now i`m just enjoying tinkering with it all. Its a good feeling to get hold of something slightly neglected and return it to `as new`, especially in the case of the Lister D, i`m very pleased with that one  Wink.
The Lister pumps were a driven by one of two means, either an electric motor for those fortunate enough to have electricity, or a small petrol engine. Both were mounted directly on the top of the pump, hence the bolts at either end of the plate, I`d like to get hold of an original engine.....but the term `rocking horse poo` leaps to mind.
The A1 isn`t highly prized by engine enthusiasts, being at mear youngster at around 55+ years old, it`s not the prettiest of engines either which doesn`t help. Most of the Petter range was the same colour green as the lister`s but I plan on giving her a new coat or two of either blue or a deep maroon tohlp make her stand out  Grin

I am a bit like you when it comes to standing engines, just love them Cool
These are Moteur Bernard engines 200cc very common in France for rotovaters and cement mixers etc.
I am hoping to put one in my baby boardtracker project.

They are heavy so it would not be cheap.
If you are interested in one I will keep my eyes open and I could always bring it to England when I next come over.
