Why is it that Mr Manky choose to use a front disc (from a Nova) rather than use the rear disc from the golf? Huh

The reason I'm asking is I am thinking of using the rear discs and callipers from a Renault Magan/Scenic. Shocked

Any insight, info or opinion on this would be much appreciated before I go and spend some very hard earned cash Wink

Can't remember to be honest! Although the early VWs were the same PCD, I think either the centre bore or the recess in the back of the disc centre was wrong to easily fit over the Reliant hub. The Nova discs had the right offset to bring the disc back in line with the flange on the end of the axle, so I could make a caliper plate from a simple piece of flat steel plate, rather than trying to create a stepped one, (remember, I was working in a lock-up council garage with no power supply at the time).
Have a measure up though. They may well work fine. I've never said mine is the definitive way of doing anything here, merely the way I did it.  Smiley
