Tonight was the Wolds Bikers monthly meet and we had a cop come down with various bits of speed camera equipment to give us a talk. I know its an old, old subject but I learned a few things tonight that I reckon are worth passing on. You might know already but I'm gonna tell ya anyway

Apparently those cameras that clock you over a set distance and do you for average speed are lane specific. So change lanes after the first one and the second one doesnt see you.
The cameras that spy out of the rear window of a parked van are video cams and they can get you for other offences as well as speeding.
Static tripod laser cams can target you from an infinite distance but the cops can only do you within a maximum distance of 1000 yards, this may be reduced in some counties. In Lincolnshire its 300 yards.
Course you have to accept that the guy was telling us the truth the whole truth and nothing but the truth
