Ahh, the new continental kit. I vaguely overheard you talking about it at Hayling Island the other week, but you haven't kept us up to speed here. Wanna talk us through it? Any significance to the Sun records graphic? -looks very cool by the way.  Cool

The Kit was bought about about two years ago, and after a year in my dads garage i put it in my shed where it was always in the way! The first problem was getting a tyre to fit the holder as only a crossply fits. Radials are too wide.  Then i needed a rim to put the tyre on, so a Vectra 15" rim was found but had the wrong offset. An adapter was made, then another, then another until I got the fit just right. Its almost ok, but I might trim a bit of the bumper so the wheel cover does hit it. Its very close at the moment, paper thin gap.

The fitting pictures are here. http://s61.photobucket.com/albums/h59/53catalina/dans%20car/

Sun Records was the "Home of Rock N Roll", and more to the point, the label Elvis recorded on. My wife is a huge Elvis fan (understatement there Smiley ) so it keeps her happy too!  The other benefit is that being a copy of the record label, its already the correct shape, and the labels were black and yellow too.  It all just seemed to come together and make sense.  Also the vinyl was exactly the right size when I measured it up, which just helped.

hope you like it.
