Not wanting another cold winter in my workshop, I actually thought ahead and built my own heater last year. It burns wood, coal or Homefire Ovals (they're the best). It's based on a calorgas bottle and some 3" tube. I can get my place up to ninety with it! I have a set of pics, drawings and instructions if anyone's interested. Hi Chris, found the "readers sheds website" and had a look through. never really thought about how many different sheds there could be  some one on that site said about sheds are for hiding secrets......found this photo there and not sure about what secrets are behind the black rubber suit hanging on the door, especially when i noticed the cunningly disguised chain that looks like an inlet/exhaust gasket attached to the wrist   take care, good to see you on this here site. regards, pete |

Hi Desperate,
I've got a couple of calor bottles and was wondering what to do with them....
Me and the son in law can now have a "warm workshop" each. Great idea. Had a look at you shed, great place to be in the warm Eh.

Hiya, Keep forgetting not everyone knows of Mr Desperate. Chris Ireland, AKA Desperate Dan, was the big name in British customising, particularly all things trikey for ...ooh, several lifetimes. His business in Leighton Buzzard & later in Great Yarmouth turned out hundreds & hundreds of 3 wheelers, (over 500 of the VW based Praying Mantis design alone). If you spot a V8 or V12 behemoth parked up at a show, there's a good chance it'll turn out to be one of our Chris' creations. His "big engineering" style's instantly recognisable. A very nice guy & just ever so slightly completely bonkers.  His, err unique, dress sense is legendary -the only guy I know with a favourite pair of welding slippers Anyway, I'm chuffed to be able to call him a mate & we share Yoda's services of computer-whizzy-cleveryness. Yodie runs both our sites & has been beavering away on Chris' new venture "Brit Chopper". That's a new custom bike, trike & hotrod mag due to hit the newstands in a few weeks.
