Thanks Rick. I was working till lunchtime so couldn't get there in time. Janie & Dave rang me though, (he's a fellow Postie -how the hell did he finish so early?!), to ask what hotrod event was going on cos they passed loads of rods going the other way while they were driving to Kempton. Insolent Minx -did you go? Did you find that project you were hoping for? You didn't buy that Velocette did you?!

love the Norton "Bob" pic 52, but I'm not to sure about the rod  a couple of things don't sit right to me like the wheels and guards.

i went with my dad - bloody busy wasnt it. not been down there before. cracking venue
that velo did look complete, just been parked in a swamp for a while... so maybe not too bad to restore LOTS of stripping woes im sure but not big cash parts to buy

erm not much really...
i though the metal man there was as expensive as the metal supermarket so didnt buy off him, i came out with a little bag for the bike, a scott book, a couple of mags and a rack to modify, went with a list of all sorts but nothing fitting the descriptions on page so very cheap day...

I love Kempton, but I am trying to keep my money firmly in my pockets at the moment so I'm avoiding anywhere that will tempt me  and Kempton is one of if not the best place to tempt me

yea i know what you mean shaun - i went with a [fairly long] list of stuff i need in the near future, and if it wasnt on my list i didnt buy it, and actually managed to stick to it for a change

I usually go with one list of bits I actually need & come back with another list of bits I don't need at all but bought cos I couldn't resist 'em.
