Netley Marsh jumble 16th May 09

Previously known as the Netley Marsh Eurojumble & aimed at bikes of all ages, particularly vintage, this event is being re-launched as the Great Netley Sort-Out, (presumably run by the same people who bring you the Sodbury Sort-Out?).
The aim is to broaden the event's appeal with vintage cars, steam engines, commercial vehcles, tractors, & other "bygones", plus an auction held by HP Pugh & co.

Saw an advert today in Motorcycle Mechanics saying this event was cancelled.

No new information on their website. Can anyone else confirm the cancellation? It's a shame if it's true as it's a great jumble.

GREAT NETLEY SORT-OUT CANCELLED
Due to unforeseen circumstances, the newly named Great Netley Sort-Out, which was to be held on Saturday 16 May 2009 at Netley Marsh, will no longer be taking place.

Exhibition Manager, Nick Mowbray said, "It is a great shame that The Great Netley Sort-Out has been cancelled. Unfortunately this is due to circumstances outside of our control and we hope traders and visitors to the event will accept our apologies for any inconvenience this has caused."

That's a real shame. As the Netley Eurojumble it was a great event. Lots of Belgiumish, Flemish, Dutch & French traders there, selling all sorts of weird & wonderful vintage stuff.
It was held on the same weekend as the big Beaulieu jumble, just 5 miles down the road, which I always thought was bad planning. I guess they just couldn't compete.
We'll remove it from the Events calendar.
