Beaulieu AutoJumble 16th & 17th May
Thu, 5 Mar 2009 05:52
MotorMart AutoJumble - 16th & 17th May 2009

Beaulieu’s popular MotorMart AutoJumble takes place on the 16th & 17th May in the grounds of the world-famous Beaulieu House. Stand bookings are well advanced for the 1,000 Autojumble spaces selling motoring parts, automobilia, literature and accessories. The MotorMart, on the Beaulieu Arena, will have up to 200 vehicles for sale, ranging from concours classics to restorable relics and the DealerMart, a selection of classic cars for sale.

MotorMarque, which celebrates a significant anniversary in the history of a model that went on to become a legend or started an iconic design trend, is this year showcasing the Ford Anglia. The car’s half century will be marked by The Ford Anglia 105E Owners Club with a display of 50 Anglias, one for each year of its anniversary.

Don’t miss the opportunity to ‘Ask the Experts’ in show sponsors Classics Monthly’s Restoration Village. A group of experts will be busy with hammers, spanners and welding gear, demonstrating restoration skills and, along with the Classics Monthly experts, will be on hand to answer all your restoration questions.

Innovative motoring artist Ian Cook enthralled crowds at last year’s show, painting in his own unique style with radio controlled cars, a portrait of Lord Montagu. He has since demonstrated his artistry at Goodwood, the London International Motor Show and, last month, on Blue Peter. He was also commissioned by Reebok to make a painting of Lewis Hamilton – the size of two double-decker buses - to celebrate the British F1 star’s world championship winning season in 2008. At this year’s Autojumble, Ian will be painting two vehicles from the National Motor Museum collection, the 1987 TWR Jaguar XJR-8 and the 1959 Austin Mini Seven, in celebration of the Mini 50 anniversary.

The Sodbury Sortout, which joined the Autojumble for the first time last year, is returning for Sunday only with hundreds of stands selling Land Rover and 4x4 parts and accessories. Also on Sunday, is Trunk Traders, featuring ‘ boot bounty’ from amateur autojumblers selling their surplus car bits from the back of their vehicles.

Visitors to the event will be able to enjoy all the Beaulieu attractions, including the National Motor Museum’s latest exhibition ‘Jaguar Jamboree”, showcasing a selection of vehicles from its illustrious past.
There is a special on-the-day, inclusive price of £8.50 for adults and £6.50 for children even less if booked in advance on the ticket hotline: 01590 612888, or online at www.beaulieu.co.uk/tickets
There is still time to book Autojumble stand spaces with prices starting at £58, £37 for MotorMart spaces and £35 for Trunk Trader (Sun only). Just contact the Events Department on 01590 614614 or email: events@beaulieu.co.uk

Showers kept the crowds at bay today (Saturday) but when the sun came out a lot more buyers appeared and business was brisk.

Snap! Got 3 of your 4 pics Rick! Didn't see you guys there.
I went looking for aluminium mudguards for my Pop pick up project. Found a guy who can make me some, but otherwise came home empty handed. How about you?
