Its Official! And the date has been set for - Saturday 25th July 2009

http://www.freewebs.com/oldmanorcafe

At the Berkshire Triumph Owners AGM on Thursday 12th February 2009, all hands were raised in favour of an Old Manor Cafe Reunion taking place at their annual classic and custom bike show, to coincide with celebrating 50 years of the Bonneville motorbike.  There will be an organised 'ride-in' from the Old Manor site to the bike show in Reading, Berkshire.  I have also received encouraging news from a guy in America who is editor of caferacermag.com - please read below.

Subject: Cafe Racer Magazine

Hi there, Ms. Jackson,

I hope the new year finds you well. I'm contacting you because the television documentary I was in the UK shooting for Discovery Channel, U.S. has been expanded into a 13 week series on the ton-up era. We were looking for events to shoot in the Uk at sites besides the Ace Cafe where I met you last September
during the Ace Cafe reunion.

I recalled you mentioning a reunion of sorts last year for riders who frequented the Old Manor Cafe and was wondering whether there is a similar event scheduled for 2009.

Feel free to e-mail if you have any information or questions.

Thanks much in advance,
Mike Seate

Took a visit to Berkshire Triumph Owners' Day.  The weather shone on Janie's (BoopoopadoopGal) ride-in from the Old Manor Cafe site.  Good turnout of Triumphs as well as other models of two-wheels and a good selection of trikes.

As this is the 50th year of the Triumph Bonneville I could only see one pre-unit Bonnie - this was disappointing for this icon of British motorcycling.

Thanks for the pics Rick. Muffin was planning on going with Michelle on his black Reliant trike.
Looks like Janie put a hell of a lot of work into that pitch. Glad it all went well for her & I'm sure we'll hear all about it in due course!

Hi everyone, still recovering from the build-up to yesterday.  Absolutely delighted with the way things turned out.  Would it be possible to ask for any copies of pictures that were taken yesterday please, as I was so busy, I didn't get to leave the marquee until the field started clearing around 5pm ish, I would love to publish them on my website as well, crediting yourselves.  I'll pay for the postage, just send me a pm for my address.

Thanks ever so much, Janie. x
