It's eerily quiet out on the estate. Hardly any birdsong, no sound of wind in the trees, no duck or geese calls from the lakes, (we've got brown Egyptian geese here). Very odd. Stood in the garden late last night & it was totally silent.
Yeah, the snow's very picturesque -or "picture skew" as Hilda Baker used to say, but it's a sign that you're getting old & boring when your first thought is How am I going to get to work? Knowing who Hilda Baker was is also probably a sign that I'm getting old.  Sad
