See this guy & chat to him everywhere we go, either on his Bobber or in the truck. Still don't know his name.

Dan & Mrs Dan in the '53 Catalina, as featured in the Motors section of the main site.

JEEEEEEZZZZZZZZZZZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!  BIG thanks for the link on NSRA forum to the pics on "MRS MONKEY".......... B!!!!y 'ell we had some motors there!!! I saw so little whilst trying to create spaces, park people & keep the traffic flowing!!! ASTOUNDED by the sheer diversity of vehicles & numbers, all of your great pics make me realise just how much I missed  Sad   I usually get a chance to go walkabout & shoot some shots for the press as follow ups to their kind column inches pre show but got so few this time due to the sheer weight of traffic!! ....BUT that's kind of a nice problem to have had!!
Am still buzzing from it all & all the nice feedback..........which has kinda helped to wipe away some of the grief from "A reg Mercedes man" & a couple of other angries that we couldn't accomodate who had little compassion nor understanding of our predicament & also seemed to forget Xmas spirit & kindness!!....... I wonder, in the post show publicity I hope to get in magazines, papers etc etc  are you guys ok with me adding a link to this forum's coverage of the show?? Assuming they are willing to print it.
Thanks, Steve

Of course Steve. You guys deserve all the credit you get. Happy to help in any way we can. We can send you full sized versions of any shots you like or bung the whole lot on a CD & post them to you. No problem. Just give us a credit for any you use please.
As general public, we don't see the behind-the-scenes hassles you must face as organisers. It's that swan thing isn't it -serene & calm on the surface but paddling like mad underneath. It all looked seamless to us. An event to be proud of. Well done Sir.
See you next year!  Grin

I could go on reproducing photos here all day, (don't worry, I won't), but I loved this. It's very first outing apparently. I guarantee it'll turn up in a magazine feature somewhere soon. Gorgeous.

I can honestly say, what a thoroughly enjoyable day.  Dave & I hadn't been to this one before, but shall certainly be there again next year, perhaps with a few more layers of clothing. (laughing)

Well done to Steve (Mr. B), for all the organising and hassle you went to, hope this thread finds you in better health.

A toast to you Sir!

I like toast. What were we talking about? Oh yeah.  Smiley
Yours was our very last event of 2008 Steve. The New Years Day classic meet in Hartley Wintney, Hants will be the first one of 2009.
I've just had a quick count up & between ourselves & various forum members we've covered a staggering 112 events this year. If anyone complains there's never anywhere to go or anything to do, just show them the Events list!

A couple more snapshots of that beautiful Foden steam lorry, taken by Triker Pete's far better half Chrissie.  Grin
