Ho yus but there's lots of qualified mechanicky types that don't know diddly squat about anything they weren't trained on - but Mr Toad is a wizard of the highest order with all things mechanical!
I know cos he used to live near me and sorted all my bike/trike/car problems!

Just a thought, but when we had the same problem with Joyce's trike Ska man2, hi Nige,pionted us in the right direction by telling us how to drive it correctly ie make sure your doing about 50 in second before you change up and only use top as an overdrive on duel carrageways or the motorway. That and a good service did the trick for us,good luck, Fred

Check the part number on your existing needle though, (it's enscribed on the needle itself), as some Reliants we've worked on have already had AAUs in them.
