Basic headstock

Heres a basic headstock diagram. The cups have to be made to suit the bearing size (in this case 25 x 47 x15) and can then be welded either end of the steel tube. The tube length measurement has vanished but it should say 105mm.

The idea is to do it yourself.......with a little help from your friends on this very forum.
Have you got your Yokes/ steering pin sorted out yet?
Can you get your hands on some 45mm ish thick walled pipe?

tbone, excuse my ignorance.
47mm - outside diameter of bearing
15mm - depth of bearing
25mm - inside diameter of bearing??

correct
. But as i say, if your thinking of doing this you need the measurements of the bearings you will be using on the stem, and the cups are made to suit.
