From another forum I belong to.....

Quote
My Wife's Peugeot Vivacity 100 scooter's been stolen. Its red, index number RK04CCJ, was stolen between 20.30 and 21.30 tonight from Heather House, Tadley, Basingstoke, Hants. The steering lock has been smashed, but it has an electronic imobiliser system which means it cannot be started, without complete replacement of the engine management system. The bike is also Datatagged so on the whole it's not a lot of use to anyone. Little swine.

AncientD is a biker who's always ready to help anyone, fixes bikes at very low rates cos he likes helping bikers to stay on the road, so I thought I'd just post this here just in case anyone sees an abandoned scoot.....

Thanks Bobbi. Lowlife kids pinching scooters, thrashing them about then burning them out is a big problem round here. Tadley's about 6 or 7 miles away from Basingstoke but I WILL keep an eye out.
Got home from Southampton this morning to find the little 125 Honda factory custom that sits at the other end of the carpark of my flats was laying on it's side, it's cover chucked in a corner. I'm guessing kids had tried to nick it but were frustrated by the chain around the back wheel. Picked it up but got no idea who owns it. Someone's not going to be happy when they get home though. Gits.

But unfortunately the scooter wasn't there when the owner got there, and the police haven't found it either.

Never mind, we tried!

Oh and sorry folks, my mobile had died and I hadn't noticed cos I been hibernating today..

Nice to know people make the effort. Still time yet for a happy ending.
A good day for hibernating. Got soaked trudging the streets delivering the mail this morning. Did a short stint behind the counter in Doro & Gypsy's shop this evening & got absolutely soaked again on the bike on the way home. Forgot I had a chunk of steel in my pocket, (to be machined into frame slugs for Rainbow's trike), & clonked the tank with it as I jumped on the bike. Put a ding in the paintwork. Only tiny but will have to stick a tank pad on it now to hide it. Bugger. Should've hibernated.
