The evil propshaft is on, it put up a good fight but good(looking) prevailed over evil. Battery box is also on, so all thats left is to convince Reg that he would like to spend a cold Saturday in my extensive workshop (council lock up) wiring the trike up. Then its off into the sunset, or a parked car I shall go.

So you've made the exhaust system, fitted the radiator hoses, filled & bled the brakes, sealed & fitted the tank, made the handbrake cable bracket, had the cables made & fitted them ...& all the other bits & pieces,, since I saw it last week then?

Don't need an exhaust or handbrake to make it go. Just need hoses. If I can ever find some that fit.

Gonna run it on just the cast iron manifold? A flame spitting Reliant. I look forward to seeing that! Can make it go but something to make it stop might be a good idea too!
Anyone know of a 1 inch bore radiator hose with a tight S bend in it? The trikes are using Mini radiators mounted in front of the front down tubes so we need a short length of hose that'll bend around the frame tube.

I saw an article once about how to bend 'em yourself - I think you had to fill them with sand, tie them into the shape you want, then boil them for a while and let them cool right down before you untie them.
You fill them with sand to stop them squashing flat where you bend them.  Worth a try on an old hose to see how it goes?

Used to fill metal tubing with sand before bending years ago for the same reason. Thanks Bobbi, certainly worth a go. Are you paying attention Mr Flap?

Grin Give 'im a chance! It's taken him 2 years to get as far as he has. You don't really think he'd have made & fitted a new hose in a few days do you! Ask again next month. Sounds like it should work though.
