It may still be just an empty shell, but you wouldn't recognise it now from the wreck we started with.

It certainly caused a stir when we rolled it out into the stable yard.
Phoebe & Katie check out Taz's new ride -it's as big as a horse box.

We're very, very lucky to have the use of a spare barn on the estate where she works. It used to be rented by a local car mechanic. When he moved out, we moved in. He planned to sell the 2 post lift & we didn't want it literally sold from under the car, so we made him an offer. We now own our own lift!

The first time we've seen the underside since we got it back from the bodyshop. It's all fresh new steel & shiny black underseal under there.
We need to drop the front K member off, which holds the steering & suspension components, clean it up & powder coat it, then rebuild everything with the new bushes & seals we have. All the Mopar owners we've talked to have advised us to convert the front end to disc brakes. The engine bay needs to be sprayed, (probably satin black), then we can start putting stuff back in.

A Dodgy lady.
According to the Mopar Muscle Association, which Taz belongs to, she's almost certainly the only female Dodge Charger owner/driver in the country.

That lift of yours could come in handy for other projects, you could even rent it out to diy mechanics that dont have their own and are fed up of using a pair of ramps and axel stands. There used to be a place in taunton that rented space for working on your own vehicles. Loving the latest pics guys, cant wait to see the next installment.

Cheers G.

Taz's boss has given her use of the barn for free G, although we have to grudgingly share it with the groundsman who keeps his motor mower in there & wants to move a trailer in too. We can't really complain about that, although Taz has made it very clear that if he damages her car, she'll inflict similar damage on him.
The abandoned grain silos in some of those shots will eventually be coming down, as will the barn. The boss is seeking planning permission to build offices on the site to rent out, which I personally think would be a great shame, but these days money's tight & even Peers of the realm have to make ends meet. It'll be a long time yet, but we need to get crackin' with the build, just in case!
There are horse stables behind the barn & behind the silos, plus horses being walked past the doorway all day, so we have to be careful about how much noise & mess we make. It's also just around the corner from his Lordship's farmhouse, so we try to keep as low a profile there as we can. Not sure they'd appreciate us bringing in a stream of other people's cars to work on. When the barn eventually comes down, we'll probably sell the lift.

Have you got any of the original pics of when you first got it Tanya?  I went back to the beginning of the thread but of course those links don't work since the hacking disaster.
