Remember this?
Had a quick update from Noah, the guy who bought it from me. He still owns it, though progress has been slow due to the engine guys taking longer than expected to rebuild it & delivery of wrong parts. The engine's done though as well as the transmission and most of the suspension. Now looking for a 8 3/4 limited slip diff' rear end.
Nice to know it went to the right guy in the end.

Yeh, I remember that. In the middle of Micky Brays garage, together with a pair of Magnesium 5 spokes!!

Grin I really wish Pinball Wizard could be returned to Micky's Custom Car feature appearance. Dave Two Lanes had the flip front for a while, still in the sunburst yellow paint.

Chatted online to Noah Meddings again the other day. He says the Charger should be on the road next year. He's promised to swap me a ride in it for a ride in my Pop Smiley

Re-watching an old classic. Every crunch makes me wince -I remember exactly how much each body panel cost! Sad

When they made the film panels would have been cheap.

Never occurred to me before, but it was made in 1968 - so both cars were brand new -that year's models.
Even without the car chase, it's still a really cool film

Quick update-
Just had a Facebook message from Noah, the guy who bought the Charger from us. It's been on hold for a year while he built an extension on his house, but now he's getting back into it.
He wanted to know if the Carter carburettor he has was fitted to the engine when we got it from Pete LeGrice, the current owner of "Pinball Wizard". Carters are similar to Holleys, but better engineered I'm told. I remember Tanya & I travelling somewhere to buy it from a Mopar owners club member & think it was ready to run, but my memory really is awful, so I've asked Tanya to contact him to confirm that.
Nice to know it's still moving forward.

I had a message from Miles, of Jackhammer hotrod supply in Farnborough a few days ago. Pre lock-down, I popped into the shop quite regularly for a chat & a browse through the merchandise. It's about 10 miles from Basingstoke. During the virus thingy the shop's been quiet & he's been doing most of his trading online. So he's using the workshop space at the back of the shop to work on cars for people.
Seems he's currently working on our old Charger Smiley
Noah, the guy I sold it to, still owns it, but hasn't had the time or facilities to do much since the paint job, so Miles is helping to move things on a bit.
He's finished refurbishing the engine & fitted it, as well as fitting a brand new rear axle, tweaking the torsion bars & adding lowering blocks to drop the back end by about 4 inches.
They don't want it splashed all over the internet yet, so don't tell anyone  Wink but I'm really pleased to know it's still alive. Smiley
