A Charger with his Lordship's crest on the doors? His family colour is maroon -the cottage doors & estate buildings are painted in it.

Great find, very do-able resto. A different plan: A pillar fixed, then tack a piece of metal in the floor on driver's, hang the rest of the sheetmetal on it. Quicky rebuild the engine: hone cylinders, new rings, bearings, gaskets, but that crank needs polishing and get new lifters.

Shove the drivetrain back in, hang lites on it, throw in a front seat, do your MOT thing. Then drive it!

Over time fix a corner here, a dent there, weld up a hole. Amaze folks as they watch a transformation before their very eyes and you have the continuous pleasure of driving it during the process!

Sounds like a good plan but if its being driven when being restored there won't be such a big deal when the job's finished cos it'll be all shiney and new and being driven for the first time.  Huh

Works for me XL. But then I'd run it permanently in dented primer anyway.  Grin

Typical.  Roll Eyes

Yes I agree that the A pillar and the floor are a first to be done. We will have to see how bad everything actually is under that primer and the bolt on bits all need work. British MoT's are a nightmare and must pass that before I can drive it on the road. Also got to get it re-registered with an age related plate to make it Tax free.

Aha, the hidden 'Official Complication' clause. No matter where you go, government is government. Markedly similar to those flat, round sorta greenish-brown things in the cow pasture....

If you haven't visited Briton you have definitely met some of our politicians to describe them so well  Wink

Shabby emailed me a link to an Ebay item. Set of 4 Torque Thrust Ds with tyres.
I love these. Always look good on any vehicle but I think they'd really suit the Charger, especially with the grey spokes.
A bit pricey for an impulse buy at 500 quid starting price though.
