I do have the sheepskin jacket - albeit in black!! Never imagined meself in an XJ6 but I love it. It's a big ol' luxury motor (all leather and walnut dash inside) and I drive it a lot steadier and slower than my other cars simply because you've got nothing to prove in a Jag! It's quite nimble for a big car, but because it's got non-standard wheels and wider tyres it's very camber-responsive, which can be scary if you're not paying attention and suddenly hit lorry ruts.

Seeing a red Jag reminds me of a friend of my mums, many years ago.  She was 70+, blonde, always incredibly smart and lively.  One day some rottwn driver wrote off the Jag, and she was waiting for another one.  The garage was having trouble finding a red one, and couldn't understand why she wouldn't have the blue one they found.  She explained to my mum "It's such a sensible colour"

Minjew, hers was a lot redder than yours!

I used to spend my afternoons working for a neighbour who restored Jags. Never tried the XJs -too new, but loved the mark 2s. Proper cars.

Yep, it's Regency Red which is actually a sort of cherry red. I thought nothing annoyed other drivers as much as a small scruffy girl in a lowered Capri - I was wrong. A small scruffy girl in a flashy Jag really pisses them off! Especially if I'm playing New Model Army very loudly...  Grin

A Daimler Dart SP250 I believe. I've never liked them - they look like a particularly ugly fish, but quite rare. Fibreglass too. Mr Triumph, Edward Turner designed the V8 engine, and I seem to recall that Daimler had to drop the name 'Dart' because Dodge kicked up a fuss, and the SP250 was aimed primarily at the Yank market. Didn't help Daimler's business much as the year after the SP250 was launched it was bought up by ... Jaguar, although the name survived. My car is technically a Daimler Sovereign.

Can't find any pictures of my Mum's cars at the moment, but will do.

My dad had some wonderful cars when I was a kid - only got a few very small very scruffy b/w phots tho.  Particularly remember the Allard (fondly known as Jumbo) and the Healey Tickford saluun in beige and cherry red - now THAT was a car!
