Well, another day, another Birthday.
This time it's Mr Flap's turn. He's a piddly 37. I've owned cars older than that.
Haven't seen him for a while since he left the cosy security of Royal Mail & set off for a new life as a lorry driver. He's hitching a lift with us to the Mitcham Cruise tomorrow evening though, so if he's very lucky I might buy him a celebratory donut.

Cheers chaps, 37 is OLD, could be half way through my life now and I still haven't finished my trikes mudguards.
The drivings going well Steve, a much better life than being a Postie  Grin
How comes you have to have it weighed? Is it to see if it falls in to a HGV class? Does it make any difference that your not using it for hire and reward, commercial use or what ever they call it.

the weight thing affects the licence requirement whilst the title affects the taxation. Being downrated to 7.5T will mean anyone can drive it which might prove useful and probably aid resale value, it's going to be close, maybe the marble floors and jacuzzi might be our downfall. I would hope to have it re registered as a motor caravan with integral garage which will reduce the tax a bit. Insurance is also affected and if we win cash prizes that could be seen as using it for reward, however if that's the case then I should be able to offset the costs involved which would make for interesting reading, I think our first season probably cost better than ten thou during which we won £75 and half a dozen small but perfectly formed trophies. Since then however the best we have done is a prize on the dinner dance raffle.

Yeah, the Basinstoke trike posse have drifted a bit recently, so nice to see you back Mr Flap. Time to pool our energies & get everyone back on 3 wheels for the Spring maybe.
Brock, you kept telling me I should try racing. Definitely a rich man's hobby!  Smiley
