HI Guys, the good news is i've fixed the startes clutch and got the engine running, its very nice too, but, is'nt there always a but!! Sad
When I pull the clutch lever in and put the bike in gear it stalls. I've adjusted the cable and it still stalls. The bike had not been ridden for a couple of years so looking for suggestions as to what the problem could be.
Is it possible/likely that the clutch plates are stuck together?  Do plates stick if not used for a long time? The plates could just be worn I suppose!
Not something that i've come across before.
I would appreciate some suggestions, but not things like burn it Sad Get it nicked  Shocked etc lol Grin Grin
Thanks

Where did that 13mm spanner go then?

Hey, hey, hey, bikerpsycho came in from work and reminded me that the bike has got a cut out on the stand, if the stand is down and you put the bike in gear, the engine cuts out.
Never had this in 'my day' Grin you just rode off and if the stand was down it scrapped a bit then folded up, if you did'nt come a cropper first Grin Grin Grin
So we went out, started the bike and put the stand up and guess what, all appears to be well so far, the engine did'nt cut out. So a big thanks for your help Chris. My only excuse is that I had a senior moment Grin.

Just a thought but try putting side stand up as it has got a cut out if it's down!
