well have had to put off fitting my irs back end due to the weather and her indoors wanting alterations to the house but once all that is behind me i am going to build a trike for my grandson something lowdown as he will be 4 in march and totally mental about bikes he already has a pw50 so, granpy,s gonna make him a trike already have a nice set of forks ,with chunky wheel off a pit bike,i have a mustang tank lurking amungst my rubbish, a nice little single seat ,i think im going for a honda 90 engine or simlar nothing to fast ,not quite sure how im going to do the rear axle maybe a radically shortened reliant axle its got to be chain drive ,anyone seen any piccys of kiddies trikes  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Cool

hi what you want is a quad back axle one of the cheap china ones rigid axle with a sprokit on it,my lad built one with out of a ty 80 lump n it and trike rear,i cant show it coz he floged it ages ago but it was spot on for what your of to build and lite as well, there always on e*ay  for spares or parts....just an idea from a newbie with the hope i can give for a change instead of just taking info....it was a 100 cc or 110 type quad..his had off road looks but would easy work for chop...

I've seen this one a couple of times, the engine and rear wheels are from a ride-on lawnmower.  I think the front wheel might be off a quad. Quite a bit bigger trike than you'd want for a 4 year old tho, the owner of this one was 12 at the time.  But it was twist n go so I spose you could just adjust the footpegs.

Lovely trike but 4 year old wouldn't be able to see over the bars!
