register a reliant trike
well first off hi all new to this forum, looks great world of advice n info and every one seem friendly, after toying with a virago intending to get it triked i added up the cost factor and not being in the no it was going to cost to much to get the swing arm sorted ect,so after it sold on evil bay i bought the trike above reliant engined when i go buy the moss coverd one a few streets away hopefully, its got back end of a robin  spring hangers ect and it will be reliant powerd as well,so can it be reged as a reliant or will it need the crazy test thing doing seating will be inline 2 plus a sofa type at back.........cheers peeps

Hiya Alik,
Nice to have you aboard Sir,  Wink
Re the registering thing, I'd go with MSVAing it. That's what I plan with the missus' trike & my own new one. You hear lots of horror stories about the test -but they're all from people who haven't actually done it. ByzMax calls in here occasionally as well as the BritChopper forum. He's put several trikes through the test, most recently his VW "beach Bastard", (where's that write up you promised Byz?!). He says it's nowhere near as bad as you'd think -all common sense stuff, no pointy sticky out bits, no 300 decibel exhausts, all the lights in the required places etc. Worth investing in the MSVA manual.
Re finding a Reliant motor for your project. You could PM Dave Satan -he's got one for sale here at the moment. Wink
