Bought the latest Car Culture Deluxe today, (one of the local newsagents has started stocking it). Cool.
Taz also picked up a copy of Top Gear magazine. It came with a free DVD -"Greatest Car Chases Ever". Also quite cool.
Bullitt -right from the moment Steve McQueen gets into the Mustang & turns the key, which you don't often see in TV clips.
French Connection -Gene Hackman chasing an overhead train in downtown New York in a Pontiac.
Grand Prix -classic 60s racing footage.
The Italian Job -the real one, not the crummy remake.
Le Mans -more classic racing.
To Live & Die in L.A -Grissom from CSI earlier in his career, racing through stock yards in L.A
Mad Max -an annoyingly short clip of Max against the Toe Cutter & his Kwacka riding gang in his supercharged Falcon.
Rendevous -never heard of it, but a bumper view of an early morning dash through Paris.
Ronin -A Peugeot chasing a series 5 Beemer the wrong way through rush hour traffic.
Vanishing Point -A Dodge Challenger & 2 dozen cop cars.

I'm definitely not a Top Gear type, but worth buying the latest issue, (November 07), just for the DVD.

So what would be your favourite ever car chase clip?

Bullit? In San Francisco?
Green Mustang. Black Dodge.

Which Bond film featured Roger Moore doing a barrel roll across a broken bridge with a fat American in the passenger seat who was convinced Moore was a car salesman??

For me, one of the best recent ones is Transporter with the Beemer.

Yes, well supposed to be. Its actually an old stacklight mercedes with the ferarri engine noises added on.  Stuff like this looks tame in conparison with the ghostrider vids and the getaway in stockholm series that are about now! Shocked

That's what Manky says but if you watch closely you see it from one car then you see that part of the chase again but from a different angle. Then they go round the block and you see it again.  Grin

I don't think it was a Dirty harry film i think it was Coogan's Bluff, where he played a country town sheriff who goes to big city to escort prisoner back home.
