Dave has been busy practising welding in the garden.  He has been spurred on by the great Manky one who was over a couple of months ago helping us get Betty Blue on the road.  He was looking at my Enfields before he started, so I made sure he moved his welding equipment outside!

Anyone fancy a metal sculpture -  Grin

Jacko provided the welder, as some old boy was throwing it out, and the welding mask was provided by a friend, Dalton.  Dave went and bought the gas bottle and welding wire locally.

Looking good! Can he come round & weld up my trike bits for me?!
Would be a lot easier if he got himself a workbench to bring the metal up to a workable height. Taz bought a folding one for a tenner from B & Q recently.
Did he make the wheelbarrow too?

Dave has a workmate bench that my parents bought him for christmas one year, but he has an axle on it at the moment, Jacko provided the wheelbarrow when he was helping us build the shed so we could ferry the blocks from the front garden to the back for him.

Maybe Dave should practice his customising skills on the wheel barrow!
Lowered, fat tyre, some chrome, candy apple red paint with scallops, ooh yeah!

hey Dave, I'm sure you will work it out in time but you might want to invest in a long sleeved shirt, ask me sometime, I'll show you some really attractive UV burns, oh, and dark coloured, amazing how much reflection you can get under the mask.

And never lay under Flap's LandRover, welding patches on the chassis in a short sleeved shirt. I can show you the molten metal burn scars too.
