Can't afford the 50 quid ticket price & have to work on Saturday mornings anyway, so for the last few years I've been going up to Stratford on the Saturday afternoon instead. Most show goers leave the site in the afternoon when it's quiet & head for the town in search of cheaper beer & decent loos. There's several big pubs where everyone congregates so we just cruise from one to another. We see loads of bikes, chat to loads of people & all it costs is the petrol money & the price of a pub lunch. I think Ska Man & Simon are taking their trikes up. Not sure about Flap. He's been on holiday so not spoken to him for a couple of weeks. If I can't bum a lift with Ska Man I'll go in my old van instead.
See you there?

Going to the show itself Byz or doing the town like us?
Can't remember the pub names, but there's one on the road from the town out to the rally site, (possibly The New Inn), one on the right as you go over the canal bridges into town from the site, plus the pavement along the front of the park, (which I think is a meeting point for bikes every Sunday morning, not just Bulldog weekend). There's a pub at the top end of the town, in the market square, which we normally walk up to for lunch.

How convenient. Would be nice if someone actually bothered to tell us officially instead of just word of mouth. Strike also means no pay but will try & raise enough for the petrol money. Mrs Manky's at an 'orse event in Scotland all weekend so I'll be all alone.  Sad

Not achieving anything though is it, other than a big hole in my already meagre finances. Don't they know I've got an ageing Pop to support?

Flap, are you saying that different branches are on strike different days?  Not heard that before.  Or am I getting confoosed.  I know that collection depots, post office counters, night drivers strike different days.  Huh
