Don't worry Tazet - he won't be nesting this time of year, just defending his territory from a load of Monkeys!

Grin phiew. He's enjoying all the worms we are digging up. He will be a very fat Robin soon.

If you go and feed him/her at the same time every day in the same place you may be lucky enough eventually to get him/her to feed from your hand.

Many years ago I worked at an animal sanctuary (monkeys actually) and my first job of the day was to feed the animals in the garden. There was a robin that followed me around every morning perching in the same places at every feed stop. I always saved a few crumbs to put on the gatepost as I left the garden when I'd finished. The bird would wait there for me and after a time it would take the crumbs from my hand.

A delightful experience.

Yes Mum had one in her garden that showed up every time she was out. She managed to almost feed that by hand too.

Easy, all dead brickies come back as robins cos we are used to being freezing cold in the winter while trying to scratch out a living
