Valleysboy.....as the crow flies yes!
Its about 30 miles north I guess, but you have to get a ferry across the Gironde Estuary or drive 200 miles it via Bordeaux.

Why do you ask?

Well I think I'm as ready as I will ever be. I keep thinking up things I've forgotten but thats normal. Still overcast and very very slightly drizzly here with a slight breeze. Hope everyone gets here safely.

We are indeed having fun  Smiley
14 of us here today. Weather's fine. We're busy doing country stuff. Cheesy
Machete wielding maniacs everywhere. A neighbour wandered past earlier, stopped for a chat then came back 5 minutes later with a chainsaw. Brilliant. Sitting in the garden, eating cheesecake & watching the stars now. Gotta go, before all the choccie cake gets eaten!  Grin

Actually everyone has been fantastic. The blokes and women have worked so very hard and I can't thank thom enough. Everyone found jobs that they were best at and just got on with it. The cakes were at night after dark and Manky and I never saw any chocolate cake, but did have a slice of cheese cake. The weather has been very good and that has helped make things so much easier.

Had a great time, thanks for all the food!

A31 is a great road, had an easy run home, only spoiled by stopping at Rownhams services cos I fancied a coffee and one of those pecan Danish pastrioes.

HOW MUCH?HuhHuh?

Settled for a prepacked bit of malt bread and a cuppa tea out of a machine.....
