I'll cut a rubber gasket to go either side of the plate, then shape it to the shape of the bellmouth base. Once it's powder coated, either black or metallic silver, it'll hopefully look alright.

I'll eventually find some fine wire or nylon mesh or some filter foam & clamp it between the mating surfaces. Anyone got any?
I like this, just cos it looks so stupidly over the top & cartoonish.  Tongue

Thanks Gaz. I texted Mr Haggis today but no reply, so yes please mate.
Thanks for the offer Haggis.  Wink
Collected the top yoke from my mate Doug the engineer today. When FLC made the forks, he drilled the yoke for handlebar risers, but the holes were too far back & the risers would've fouled on the tank. So Doug's drilled them again, further forward, then counter bored them to recess the M12 allen bolt heads underneath, then bored the top face to locate the risers into the yoke by a couple of mill.
I made the risers in my usual fashion, by welding washers & captive nuts into the bottom of lengths of 1" bore ERW tube, (the same stuff the main frame's made from). They're deliberately far too tall, so I can experiment with handlebar positions to find what's comfy for Taz. I'd like to keep the bars level with the top of the tank.

Managed to crush my fingers, taking the front end apart on my own -there's a lot of moving parts there. So I enlisted Taz's help to put it all back together again.
