Thanks Matty. I've never been one for small and dainty so this is just what I'm after
£750 is a bit steep. Keep looking. Fleabay is a good place to look.

Got back to playing with Taz's trike frame this evening -life's been kinda busy lately & just haven't had the time to get out in the shed.
Using 2 offcuts of tube from ...God knows what, that happened to have a suitable bend in them, I spliced a short length of new tube onto the bottom of each to make them the right length & created the uprights either side of the gearbox. As we're using a Corbin solo saddle intended for a Harley Sportster, rather than the large triangular solo pads we usually go with, I need to alter the frame lay-out a little to incorporate it, so that it looks part of the design, rather than just dumped on top of the tubes.
The top rails of the hardtail are also in place. They meet the uprights lower than normal to follow the bottom line of the saddle. The nose of the seat sits on a short length of the 1 1/2" bore top tube ERW, welded to the back of the top tube.

The end of the top tube will be trimmed off later to follow the lines of the seat rails, (where I've marked it with white Tippex ink). The gearstick will come out from under the seat in front of the gearbox uprights & end between the tank & Taz's knee, similar to Flap's orange trike.
Next job will be the horizontal tubes that run back to form the luggage platform. Again they'll be a little lower than normal to follow the saddle.

With the axle tied in to the frame with the hardtail tubes, the trike could safely be moved now -if we had the room to manoeuvre it in the shed!

We want to just get it finished enough to pass the MSVA. The powder-coating can be done after it's passed so that will save a bit of time. Once I know where everything is to go then I should be able to put the thing back together, (I hope).

Grin Thank you. We've decided to hold back on building this for me as Manky is getting very worried about getting everything done before the regs change. So we're going to wait till the new regs are out and put it through the test then. That way we'll know what's involved and can then pass it on to you lot.

I was under the impression it was just the SVA due to change and no plans were afoot to alter the MSVA. But then again, i`m usually wrong.

I think they're changing across the board. That's why we'll be using my trike as the tester. We don't know what the new regs will be yet. If they're all changing at the same time it will be at the end of March as that's when the SVA changes.
