We picked up a seat for Taz's trike at the Popham autojumble in Hampshire yesterday. We usually go for large universal solo pads from Zodiac/Drag Specialities/Hi Level etc. They cost something like 70 to 80 quid each. So a new unused Corbin saddle, possibly for a DynaGlide, for 45 quid seemed worth going for. Similar mounts to the ones we normally use & about the same width, but slightly longer.
So we'll give it a go & build the back end of the frame around it.

When we bought it we told the guy it was for a trike and he started harping on about engine mounts etc that he had for sale that would fit a Harley engine. I just looked at him and said it was for a Reliant engine and he instantly said "I'll find a bag for that seat" and dissapeared. Don't think he was too impressed but it gave Dave, Manky and myself something to chuckle about.

Not done anything else on it yet. Still got to get a tank sorted so we can re-do the top tube. I did do a bit of weld filing on Manky's mudguards for his trike while he was out playing with the pop. Also most of the evenings are either spent chasing charger parts or on here oh and cooking dinner too.  Grin

yeh the charger forgot bout that is it difficult gettin hold of bits over here? i got 4 days and im movin 250 miles away so once im done ill be chasing parts to i will hopefully find a nice cheap(running) reliant that  i can get my grinder and saw on !!! then i spose ill leave the shell on the drive let the kids play in it for a bit then sell it in bits and hopefuly make a bit of money back...probably end up sleeping for two weeks instead tho lol had loads to do coz the missus is pregnant. im debating on building the kids a couple of mini trikes with moped engines so the projects are starting to stack up!!! has any one on here built anything like that ?? My new tank. Third time lucky. First a normal Sportster tank and that was too tiny, then a QuickBob and that was too big, so hopefully the King Sportster will do the job. Thanks again to Dracken1 for this. As usual it arrived when he said it would and not a mark on it. Also thanks for the work he did to the filler cap. It's brilliant. Here are the many photos from every angle.

The fuel tap and photos of the tank roughly in place. Note the top tube is not welded in place. It is only balanced in place.
