Yeah, I've just come back from "Speed Shack" in West Drayton, Londonshire. They specialise in wheels, wheel bolts, spacers n stuff, (they're in the Links for Commercial Purposes bit of the forum). They don't keep anything like that in stock but reckoned something like dumper truck or cherry picker tubes would do. I'd imagine you'd need a much bigger valve hole in the rim for those?

actually ours are agricultral trailer tubes, about a tenth the cost of true Goodyear race items, the local shop cut out the old valve, welded in patch, and bonded in a new smaller metal valve to correspond with the original hole in the wheel, tested them, mounted them and the race slicks (fun to watch) all for £25 a side including supply, Kennet Tyres, got to love them.

Think we'll need tubes in our banded wheels?

But when a tube goes, the tyre deflates instantly, but a tubeless will tend to go down gradually. so ive been told. Id take some time to read some of the banded wheel threads on http://retrorides.proboards86.com/. They have sealed the welds before putting tyres on and they have been fine.

That's what the guy said who did it, (sorry I'm bad with names). He had some banded wheels on his car without a tube and they have not gone down. He had his blasted then powder coated.

We or should I say Manky has decided to possibly get the rims powder coated the same colour as what the frame will be. Just got to decide on the colour.

Should be dropping the wheels off at the coaters tomorrow, so will choose the particular shade of grey then.
